Syntax - “Open Mic Night” (Cam Bluff Remix)

So when I heard that Syntax was teaming up with producer of the moment Cam Bluff to remix his 2010 LP ‘The Musical’ my first thought was, “Why? Your LP was pretty tight. Why don’t you just write some new songs you lazy sonofabitch!”  

But then Tax threw me this track and it all made sense.

You know how the original of The Pharcyde’s “She Said”, produced by Slim Kid Tre was good? But then Dilla came along with his remix and made it a classic? Well Mules of Choose Mics did a good job laying down some chilled head nod ish for the OG, but Cam Bluff straight killed it on the remix!

Bluff’s marching drums and polished samples lends the track immediacy and perfectly compliments some of the tightest verses the self-proclaimed ‘Pied Piper of Rap’ spat last year. Click Syntax’s mug and experience it yourself kids.

Now Tax, go get back in the studio with Mules (we still love ya beats too son!) and push out this new project.
