Drapht - “Take The Party With Us” (Featuring Funkoars)

Whats that kids? You needed a new hip hop anthem to get smashed to? I think Perth’s finest and ADL’s rowdiest might just have you covered with this one.

The details are a little hazy (much like the song), but it seems that this track was inspired by the recent incident of the Oars tour bus (which I’ve got money on being a Datsun 1200) being pulled over by the jacks. Allegedly them and Drapht were warbling this song too loudly and caught the attention of the boys in blue who then ‘smelt cannabis in this car’.

Hilarity no doubt ensued.

Thanks to Hons recording the whole thing we get to hear how quick on their feet the boys were (not very) and now get this beast of a track too. Click the cover….

And how is the rest of the LP? Jesus fuck donkey shit!!! This thing will be huge! Oh but fuck you Trials and Drapht for ‘The Paul The Dan’ cause that shit is catchier than herpes. That hook is stuck on repeat. Youll all find out soon enough.

Briggs, Hoods, Funkoars and Vents took over the Triple J studios for tonights Hip Hop Show to promote their new mixtape and commenced to crack more jokes then a Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder movie, kept the unflappable Hau on his toes, announced that the Hoods aren’t retiring (yet) and then absolutely murked it with a cipher session that will destroy your speakers.
